Teenage girl injured in head-on car accident

A 17-year-old girl was seriously injured last Friday morning in Forest Lake, MN, when her car crashed into a pickup truck.

The accident occurred at 7:45 a.m. on Minnesota 97. The teenage girl was helping a passenger in her vehicle look for something in the backseat, when she swerved into a lane of oncoming traffic and hit a pickup truck head-on.

Neither the driver of the pickup truck nor the passenger were seriously injured during the accident. The teenage girl was unconsious following the accident and taken to the hospital. She is currently being treated for injuries that are not life-threatening.
