Bunk beds recalled for safety reasons

Bunk beds that were manufactured by Dorel Asia SRL were recalled last week due to the beds posing serious safety concerns. The side rails of the 466, 700 bunk beds that were recalled were found to split, causing the entire bed to collapse.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission issued the recall after 23 people reported that the beds broke while they were sleeping in them. The people reported suffering bruises and scrapes because of the beds.

The beds were sold at Kmarts and Targets across the country from 2004 through 2009. Anyone who has the bed has been advised to contact Dorel Asia SRL for a kit to repair the beds.
