Children’s toys recalled for choking hazard
Nearly 1.7 million Little Tikes toys have been recalled due to a potential choking hazard. The recall includes over-sized nails in eleven Little Tike Workshop tool set models and trucks. This is an expansion of a recall that was issued in 2009, in which 1.6 million toy nails made by Little Tikes were recalled.
Little Tikes received at least two complaints of children choking on the toy nails after they had become lodged in their throats. Luckily, the children were taken to the hospital and have fully recovered. The Little Tike Workshop tool sets have been made and distributed nationwide from 1990 to 2004.
