Kraft apologizes to victims burned by coffee product
Kraft Foods has recently issued an apology to its U.S. and Canadian customers after a defect in the Tassimo T Discs sprayed them with hot water and coffee grounds, leading some to suffer from second-degree burns.
One victim was a 10 year-old Minnesota girl who was rushed to the hospital with second-degree burns on her face and neck. She is just one of 140 people to report the Tassimo coffee machine’s defect and one of 37 who received second-degree burns.
Kraft Foods has since issued a voluntary recall of Tassimo Expresso T Discs and Tassimo Single-Cup Brewers.
