Fairfax City power line accident killed one employee, injured another

One worker was killed and another suffered injuries in their workplace near Fairfax after they were involved in an electrical accident, CBS Minnesota reported on July 28.

Reports provided by the Renville County Sheriff’s Office said the two employees of Donovan Construction were working on a power line at a Great River Energy construction project at around 8:00 a.m. when the accident occurred. Both of the workers experienced electrical shock, and one died of his injuries. The two were airlifted to a hospital. Authorities did not release information on the condition of the second worker, who survived the accident. Investigators are looking into the cause of the fatal workplace accident. Meanwhile, the construction project has temporarily been halted by Great River Energy.
