Two officers injured in Minneapolis accident
Two on duty Minneapolis police officers sustained injuries after their patrol vehicle was hit, CBS Minnesota reported on December 28.
The two police officers, whose names were withheld, reportedly were on their way to an emergency situation at around 2:00 p.m. when the side of their patrol car was struck by another vehicle at the intersection of Washington and Portland Avenues. The officers were transported to a nearby hospital due to the injuries they sustained. The driver of the vehicle that struck the patrol car was later discharged by authorities after undergoing chemical testing. Both officers are expected to make a full recovery.
