A man from North Dakota recently filed a lawsuit against Fabcon, Inc., a Minnesota-based company, after he seriously injured his knee while working on one of the company’s construction sites in Bismarck.
The lawsuit states that the man was delivering wall panels made of concrete to the company’s construction site when he fell into an unmarked hole. The man seriously injured his right knee while falling and was left temporarily disabled.
The lawsuit cites Fabcon, Inc., as being negligent and careless in its actions when the accident occurred. The man is seeking an undisclosed amount in damages.

PBC Management Inc., a payroll service based in Mandeville, Louisiana, was recently sued by a man who was working for the company as a crew member on a ship when he suffered a debilitating injury to his right knee.
According to the lawsuit, the man was working on the M/V Grace Nicole in Galveston Bay on May 13, 2009. The man was attempting to get onto the ship by stepping on a small skiff that the ship’s captain had lowered. The man fell off the skiff and suffered a serious injury to his right knee that left him unable to walk.
The lawsuit states that PBC Management Inc. failed to provide the man with a safe environment in which to work. The man is seeking an unspecified amount in compensatory damages for loss of income and medical expenses.

The Nebraska plant of Tyson Foods, Inc., was recently issued eight safety violations by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
OSHA inspected the manufacturing plant on Monday, after the plant was found to have a high employee injury and illness rate. It was found that the plant was in violation of eight critical safety regulations, including failure to cover an electrical outlet and problems in the refrigeration system. These problems could cause fires and burn injuries to workers.
Tyson Foods, Inc., has been ordered to pay $66,000 in fines. The corporation will have fifteen days to contest the charges.

John Franco, a stuntman who worked on the film “Green Lantern” is now suing Warner Bros Studios for injuries he sustained while filming the movie in the summer of 2010.
Franco filed the lawsuit last Wednesday at the Los Angeles Superior Court. Although the lawsuit does not specifically mention the accident that caused Franco to be injured, it does mention that he suffered emotional and physical distress from his injuries and that he now has anxiety because of the incident.
Several other corporations are also included in the suit, including DC Comics and Big Moose Llc. All are being sued for negligence and ultra-hazardous activity.
