Employee suffers amputation injury in Minnesota workplace accident
A workplace accident in Le Sueur, Minnesota resulted in an employee suffering an amputation injury to his arm. State authorities confirmed that they are already investigating the incident, an article of Le Sueur News-Herald reported on October 25.
According to reports, 31-year-old Jake Krekelberg lost a portion of his arm on October 11 while working at La Sueur Cheese Company. Krekelberg, who was a production supervisor in the industrial facility, was working with machinery when the accident occurred. The workplace accident, which happened around 2:13 a.m., was confirmed as several emergency units responded to the scene. Agents from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) said they are investigating the incident. Krekelberg was thankful for the support he received and he is expecting to go back to work soon. Krekelberg’s employer did not issue a statement regarding the accident.
