Honda recalls nearly a million vehicles

Honda Motor Co. is voluntarily recalling 962,000 Honda Fits, CR-Vs, and City models to repair software and electrical defects with the power windows and computer equipment. Honda Fits made between October 2005 and 2009 are involved in the recall. The car company has stated that no reports of injuries or accidents have been caused due to the defect.

Honda says there could be a chance of fire after a design flaw could cause windshield wiper cleaner residue to accumulate inside the door, which could cause the power window switch’s electrical contact to degrade. Earlier this year, Honda recalled 2.3 million vehicles for transmission problems, including the hybrid CR-Z.
